Aaron Siskind Deluxe Edition Folio

This Deluxe Edition Folio is the pinnacle of understated elegance. To match the warmth of the rich black tones achieved with platinum printing, the folio was wrapped in dark orange Brillianta, a linen book both from Holland. The interior is wrapped in Canson Mi-Tientes, from a paper making factory in France that dates back to 1557. The only obvious decorations are the ribbon closure, which matches the interior cover material, and the printed paper label set in a sunken, recessed well. The ink used to print that label was specially mixed to match the Brillianta wrap color precisely.

Bulgari 3 Panel Folder

For a luxury brand such as Bulgari looking for a top-quality influencer kit, we pulled out all the stops. This Tray in a Three Panel Folder construction, sometimes referred to as a Book Style box, houses a framed insert with a ribbon pull to hold promotional materials as well as a french panel for added closure security- all composed of Eska board. Wrapped in Black Nuba, a rich cover material with the soft-touch feel of nubuck leather from FiberMark, the exterior also featured decorative gold foil stamping.

Christie’s

This stunning crimson box was designed for Christie’s auction house as a pre-auction package, containing a mini light box and transparencies of the items to be sold at the show. This welcome kit is of a wood construction, composed of a Tray in a Three Panel folder with a multilevel divided insert. The exterior is wrapped in a custom dyed bonded leather material with a blind deboss. The interior features a french panel with a pocket, a stand-up easel, and a removable pocket with a ribbon pull, all covered in Iris bookcloth, a linen-feel 100% natural fiber cover material.

Chuck Close “Scribble Book”

Both the books and the box are covered with Cotlin, a natural sailcloth-type fabric made by Bamberger. The books are accordion bound with each set of prints being mounted on a strip of fabric over 9′ long. A Lipped Clamshell Box with basswood frame was chosen to house the books. This design opens flat at the spine, allowing easy access to the books while offering the option of viewing the prints without removing them from the confines of the box.

Constantine Manos “American Color”

This striking Lipped Clamshell with a platform insert was design to display a small book and selection of prints. Wood framed and wrapped in an Italian bookcloth, Cailux Red, with a matching grosgrain ribbon and foil stamped lid, this is an exemplar limited edition collectors item.

Consultancy Group FSG Overflap Folio

An Overflap Folio construction is the perfect vehicle for corporate presentation materials. For the consultancy group FSG we created this custom folio composed of an Eska board frame wrapped in Arrestox bookcloth with an interior folder and pocket made of uncoated white paper. The exterior features a simple foil stamping graphic and an elegant ribbon closure.

Couture Box for Fine Jeweler

Iconic, inspired, undeniably impressive. Portfoliobox created a lustrous wood frame jewelry box to accentuate the incomparable work of designer Temple St. Clair. With intricate pieces involving hundreds of gems and artisan handcrafted gold, our design had to convey magnificence without competing for attention with the ornate jewelry within. The end result finds a delicate balance between the sublime the subtle. 

Dunkin Donuts Convention Center Panel Box

Dunkin Donut’s needed an attention grabbing promotional box, so we built them an interior with a custom floating balcony. This luxury kit is a Deluxe Clamshell construction- a Clamshell style tray box in a Three Panel Cover- composed of wood wrapped in bonded leather and Japanese silk. The inside cover feautures a floating cutout of the Dunkin Donuts Center luxury suites, and the base has diecut inserts to hold the various promotional paper materials.

Effen Vodka Panel Box

This elegant box was designed for a corporate holiday promotional gift from Effen Vodka. A Tray in a Three-Panel Folder with a french insert for added closure strength, this simple package is constructed of Eska board and wrapped entirely in Sierra bookcloth, a dyed 100% natural fiber cover material, and featured a single color foil stamp on the front.

F2NYC Sales Kit

Gap Presentation Folder

This custom 2 Panel Folder was one of many made for Talas for corporate presentations by a large bank (which, for privacy purposes, we cannot mention). Made of heavy .120 Eska board, and wrapped in customer supplied plaid fabric and a XXL sized pair of Gap jeans, this folder held a Wire-O bound presentation held in place by slipping the back cover of the Wire-O into the sleeve in the back panel

Guido Argentini “Silvereye”

This limited edition box set for Guido Argentini’s first publishing venture, Silvereye, held a hardcover of the book, and two signed edition prints. The Deluxe Clamshell was framed in Albus wood and hand wrapped in a single foil stamp silver metallic book cloth.

Jack Purcell Converse Sneaker Release

This gorgeous and gigantic box was created for the Converse brand to announce their newest Jack Purcell sneaker release. Designed in collaboration with Universal Wilde, Converse’s marketing and communications partner, this limited edition influencer kit featured a foam insert that held a pair of the new sneakers, from a womens’ size 5 to a mens size 15. The Tray in a Three-Panel Folder with a Sleeve style construction was composed of Eska board, wrapped in offset printed, uncoated white paper supplied by Universal Wilde.

Limited Edition Portfolio for Gracespace

The Base and Lid style is a contemporary alternative to a traditional Folio or Clamshell style package often seen in limited edition art print collections. The classic Lid lifts off to reveal a Base with a flange reminiscent of a candy box. A raised platform provides a stage for the prints, and a simple grosgrain ribbon lift provides easy access to the works and removes any risk of dog-earing or damaging the prints.

To commemorate the historic monographic show of artist Paul Gauguin’s work at the Metropolitan Museum of Art in New York, the museum published a book with the shows title Gauguin in New York Collections: The Lure of the Exotic. This collectors edition art book was housed in a paperboard slipcase wrapped in deep orange Brillianta.

NE Patriots Luxury Box Suite Menu

This prime example of luxury product packaging was designed for jewelry designer Paolo Costagli for his gem-inspired limited edition glassware collection. This Tray in a Three Panel Cover style box is of wood construction, with a french panel for additional support and fit. The exterior is wrapped in Japanese silk with gold foil stamping on the lid, while the interior features a wood frame divided insert wrapped in white ultrasuede.

For added panache, Princeton University chose a custom Slipcase for their donor gift copy of First X, Then Y, Now Z, by John Delaney. Rose Cumming

For the first illustrated autobiography of one of the founders of interior design, only a stylish and protective Slipcase would do. Sought after by the Duke and Duchess of Windsor, Andy Warhol, Jacqueline Onassis, and Marlene Dietrich, Rose Cumming was famed for her flamboyant interiors and blending of contrasting aesthetics from gothic to baroque to oriental. Written by Jeffery Simpson, renowned author and editor of Architectural Digest, this heirloom edition was sold in a paperboard slipcase wrapped in Sierra. The elegant natural fabric cover was embellished with a clear foil stamp on both sides.

This countertop display for boutique stationary company Twig & Fig was designed to catch the eye. Made with a solid wood frame, this Deluxe Clamshell construction has a hidden Neck Tray to reinforce the structural integrity of the display. The exterior is wrapped in Japanese silk and features foil stamping and a deep recessed area to hold a decorative copper plate. The interior is wrapped in Japanese linen.
