Sometimes we have samples of previous projects that we can send but it is dependent on availability. Once you’ve commited to your project with Portfoliobox, we can furnish you with a prototype for approval at a fixed cost.
All shipping is FOB our location in Warren RI. We can assist you with shipping using FedEx, UPS or your carrier.
Any project below $1000 must be prepaid. Over $1000, we require a 50% + prep charges deposit, and balance due before shipping unless arrangements with our credit manager have been made.
The frames are made of either matt-board or a combination of albus wood and Eska board.
Papers, cloths, fur, leather, lace- whatever you desire for your creative visions! However most of our customers choose from a broad selection of book cloths.
Mainly hot foil stamping, blind debossing, sunken areas for labeling such as metal plates and printed paper, screen printing.
We prefer that you supply PDF, Illustrator file (type converted to outlines) or JPG. Contact us for information on resolution and size.

If you can think of it, chances are we can do it. If you review the different custom projects in the portfolio you will see the broad range of ideas.
Our minimum order is $1500 for a custom project and the quantity is a function of the unit cost of the box, case or portfolio you are buying. For orders with values of less than $1500 we have partners who can assist you – please contact us for further information at email@example.com. For very small quantities, we will put you in contact with our premier retailer Talas.
There are several considerations which dictate how long it takes to finish a project: quantity you are making, complexity of project, materials selected for the project, and the design development. Typically our build time for basic custom portfolio box is 3-4 weeks for small quantities, 5-6 weeks for larger or more complex designs from completion of design process, final approval of design and acceptance of Purchase Order. A simple requirement may be met by one of our stock portfolios available on our site.
